The Ruhr University Alliance, the DWIH New York (German House of Science and Innovation New York) and the Worldfactory International of the Ruhr University Bochum invite on 26.01.2022 to a virtual roundtable workshop to compare the German and U.S. funding landscapes and cultures, look at similarities and differences, and the overarching themes across the Atlantic.
.The workshop will analyze the relationship between a startup and its funding channels from the perspective of both the startup and the investor: What are the expectations/fears/goals of a startup? On the other hand, what are funders looking for when they decide to invest in a startup?
The goal of the roundtable workshop is to jointly develop a roadmap. The focus will be on university-affiliated startups with a tech/digital business model and their unique position in 2021/2022 in terms of funding and funding opportunities.
The event is limited to 40 participants* and is aimed at (future) startup founders specifically with university affiliation, industry experts and VCs.
