We are the home for founders and start-ups in IT security and cybersecurity.
Cube 5 is based at the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security and the Faculty of Computer Science at the Ruhr University and at the university’s own Worldfactory Start-up Center (WSC). One focus of Cube 5 is on supporting spin-offs from research with prospects for success in the B2B sector.
Cube 5 accompanies and supports founders and start-ups in the fields of IT security and future communication systems (6G) at every stage of development.

Consulting
From the business idea to the start-up and beyond: we offer young entrepreneurs guidance at every stage of development. We advise and support start-up teams in the application process for the BMBF funding programms “StartUpSecure” and “StartUpConnect”.
Qualification
We want to sensitize students and researchers to the topic of start-ups and impart start-up know-how. With specially designed incubator and accelerator programs (such as inCUBE), we give young start-ups professional start-up support and accompany them on their way.
Networking
Our locally to internationally highly developed ecosystem of companies and institutions in the fields of IT security and future communication systems (6G) offers the perfect environment for innovative business ideas and up-and-coming companies.
