The startup EDGELESS SYSTEMS supports a project on data sovereignty in a connected world as part of „Open Bosch“, the Bosch group’s Venture Client unit.
The SPECS project team is part of the “Security and Privacy Enhanced Computing Services” department at Bosch Research and aims to enable secure handling of customer data in various clouds by using end-to-end encrypted data. The future application fields focus on smart home, autonomous driving, automotive workshops or economy of things with distributed ledger technologies (DLT).
Within this collaboration with the IT security startup of the Ruhr University Bochum, SPECS focuses the use case of car repair shops. The aim is to develop a system for analyzing workshop data while maintaining privacy and trade secrets in the cloud. EDGELESS SYSTEMS is developing a scalable solution for protecting data during processing that is based on Trusted Execution Environments.
